Need More Time?

We often hear people say “I just need more time”.

Even with the greatest technology we can’t create more time. We can only allocate the time we may have.

Excellent time management allows us to:

  • spend quality time with the family,
  • achieve efficiency at work
  • take care of our personal wellbeing
  • feel satisfied at the end of the day

To manage time better we can:

  • Re-prioritize activities to be in alignment with what we value most.
  • Set daily, weekly, monthly or yearly goals which leads to making more appropriate choices of activities.
  • Write a daily list including the approximate time an activity may take. This helps to see if the list is realistic.
  • On the list mark the priorities for the day. Doing high pay off tasks first can evoke a sense of achievement. (Anything else achieved might be considered a bonus!)
  • Being more present with whatever you are doing is a valuable way to utilize the time you have.

Deciding how to utilize your time is made simpler when you know what your values are.
